Shivam's grandmother is well respected but is very dominating, discriminative, cunning, and dramatic. She fools her son very easily and has a daughter named Sarla who is just like her. Riya thinks that she is marrying Shivam but in reality was marrying Amit, Sarla's son. Shivam and Riya married and Amit and Rani.
